Tele-health sessions are encouraged
I understand that this is a difficult time for many of us. I wanted to make you aware of the following UPDATED policies:
- Based on the latest orders issued by the state of Kansas and Johnson County, a new mask requirement is in effect starting July 3rd, 2020.
- There is some research that suggests that interacting while wearing a mask reduces greatly my ability to convey empathy and could interfere with doing good therapy.
- During the time of the mask order (July 20th until further notice from the state) I will strive to conduct sessions by telehealth
- If there is some reason that telehealth won’t work or would impede your treatment please let me know and we will find another solution
- Telehealth sessions can be discussed on a case by case basis, to ensure they are appropriate. Please check with your insurance company to see if behavioral health telehealth services are covered.
